Our Story
Howard Heritage began long before I opened my own workshop.
Hi, my name is Jamie Howard, and my story as a Defender specialist starts when I was 15, working for my grandad, who had already made a name for himself as a Land Rover Defender specialist. In that small, busy workshop, he taught me the value of doing things properly, taking my time, and treating every Defender as if it were my own.
Later, I went on to work for my dad at his Land Rover Defender company in Astwood. Between my grandad and my dad, I was lucky to learn from two generations of craftsmen who lived and breathed these vehicles. Over the years, I worked with clients from all over the world, gaining experience not just in restoration, but in listening, problem-solving and standing by my word.
Howard Heritage is the result of all those years. Here, I bring together everything I learned from my grandad, my father and countless projects to offer honest, meticulous restoration for classic Land Rover Defenders. I’m passionate about my work and take real pride in every vehicle that comes through the doors.
Many of my customers have known me for years. They come back because they trust my expertise, my accountability and my reliability. I feel incredibly fortunate to love what I do and to have turned that passion into my livelihood. I’m excited for the future, the Defenders I’ve yet to work on, and the stories I’ll continue to share with the people who own them.
